25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BE ~ Adaptation (9 to 16 year olds)
CALLING BOYS & GIRLS FOR OUR SUMMER CAST!
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy about six quirky, middle-schoolers who find themselves competing in a local spelling bee, revealing their personal struggles, family issues, and adolescent awkwardness through hilarious and touching songs as they spell their way to victory (or elimination). The show features an eclectic cast of characters, including overachievers, outcasts, and others, who learn that winning isn't everything as they navigate spelling complex words and confronting their deeper insecurities, with audience participation adding to the chaotic fun. NOTE: Our adaptation has selectively incorporated only the age-appropriate songs and dialogue, ensuring an amazing experience for all ages.

With plenty of roles to go around, including featured characters as well as ensemble parts for Spellers, Adjudicators, and more, our adaptation of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has a place for performers of different grade levels, abilities, and experience backgrounds.

PRELIMINARY DAY: Tuesday, July 7th (4:30pm - 6:30pm)
Meet & Greet, auditions will be discussed in detail, scripts handed out, audition material reviewed, ensemble music learning

REHEARSALS (2 weeks): Mondays - Fridays

Some characters may be called as early as 10:00am or asked to stay until 4:00pm, to work solos and/or small scenes

July24th: Rehearsals TBD based on "need". Rehearsals may be needed, however, if the cast is in good shape, call time will be 12:00pm.

STORYTIME BALLET (3.5-6 year olds)​
DATES: 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3
4 Weeks, Wednesdays (4:00pm - 5:00pm)
​IN-STUDIO PERFORMANCE: June 3rd at 4:50pm
NOTE: This program is a drop-off program. Children should wear comfortable clothing, and welcome to wear proper dance clothing (ie: leotard & tights). Leggings/shorts and tank top are also appropriate. Ballet shoes, socks w/ grippes. Water bottle only. [$85]​​
Our 4-week beginner dance class is perfect for young students interested in exploring ballet. Class begins with reading stories featuring young dancers, followed by simple acting exercises, then moving into Ballet class. They will learn ballet terminology, warm-ups, stretches, and across-the-floor work. This stress-free class is a great opportunity for parents to see if their child enjoys structured dance classes before committing to a yearly program. An in-studio performance will take place during the last 10 minutes of our final class on 6/4 for family & friends. Join us in the studio for this wonderful experience. [$86]
ACTING IMPROVISATION (3rd - 6th Graders)​
DATES: 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3
4 Weeks, Wednesdays (5:00pm - 6:00pm)
Students have fun with acting games, team-building exercises, improvisation, and vocal/projection techniques, while learning performance skills. Emotion, projection, and staging techniques will be emphasized. Without the stress of memorizing lines or of a large performance, this fun and supportive class helps students explore character development, think outside the box, and learn effortlessly. With no performance, this class is completely stress-free, and allows students to explore without inhibitions with their peers. Water bottle only. [$85]

A classic fairytale musical, about kind-hearted Ella, mistreated by her stepfamily, who dreams of a better life and ​ attends a royal ball with the help of her Fairy Godmother. She meets her prince while also discovering her own strength to challenge injustice and build a kinder world. This fully choreographed musical features songs including "In My Own Little Corner", "Stepsisters' Lament", & "Impossible", amongst others. [$305]

The enchantment never ends as we explore how the Dwarves impact this classic story.
​
This 1-week session for 4 1/2 -7 year olds incorporates Musical Theatre, Acting, & Dance. Friendships are created with Acting Games & working together on simple "pictures of the day". "For the First Time in Forever", "Do You Want to Build a Snowman", & "Fixer Upper" will come to life with a performance for family & friends on our last day! The week culminates with a Dance and Musical Theatre performance for Family & Friends! [$279]
