My Story
In first grade, my mom signed me up for a triple threat class at the NP Rec Center. At first, I did not want to go, but a few weeks later when we had auditions for a featured role, I immediately perked up and wanted the part. It was the first time that I remember having a drive and passion for the arts, and I ended up getting the featured part in the "Hard Knock Life" number.
From there, I began participating in dance classes and school plays. I wanted to be in anything possible that was involved with the arts. Once I began middle school, I auditioned for community theaters and since then, have always been in some form of show, practice, or rehearsal.
The summer after my freshman year of high school, I was in a show at a local theater and many castmates were older, heading to college. They talked about pursuing the arts and the programs they were going to and that was when my eyes opened and I realized that I could do the same.
I am so grateful for all of the opportunities in the arts that I have had so far. From performing, assisting with younger students, and being a dance captain, my life has been consumed by theater and dance and I cannot imagine it any other way. I truly would not be able to continue this path without the support of my teachers and family.
This fall, I will be attending Penn State University, majoring in theatre as a member of the class of 2028! We are!!
