"Summer Theatre in the Park"
Summer programs at Performing Arts 5678 take place in our outdoor amphitheatre! Our space offers a secluded, "park-like" setting, allowing everyone to not only enjoy performing, but also the beautiful fresh air. Our indoor studio is used for rehearsals during inclement weather and/or when rehearsing multiple elements at the same time.

Our 4-week beginner dance class is perfect for young students interested in exploring ballet and tap. They will learn ballet terminology, warm-ups, stretches, and across-the-floor work. In tap, they will be introduced to the fundamentals of counting, rhythm, and beat. This stress-free class is a great opportunity for parents to see if their child enjoys structured dance classes before committing to a yearly program. Join us in the studio for this wonderful experience. ($65)

WHO WILL FIND THE GOLDEN TICKET???
​
The delicious adventures of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory follow the enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in 5 of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a tour of the Wonka factory, and a lifetime supply of candy.
​
Auditions take place on the 1st day. Everyone is cast! Performances take place in our outdoor amphitheatre!
Some characters require additional rehearsal, 1:00pm - 1:30pm &/or 4:00pm - 4:30pm. Schedule will be emailed & updated as the process progresses. (Main rehearsals: 1:30pm - 4:00pm)

TAKE A JOURNEY OUT OF THE ZOO...
Get ready to join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria Hippo, and the hilarious penguins on a wild adventure! Our musical adaptation of Madagascar will take you on a journey like no other, following your favorite characters as they escape the zoo and end up in the crazy world of King Julien's Madagascar. Come along for the ride and enjoy the fun and laughs!

Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, Madagascar will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!”

The Fairy Tale Network is a television network that needs to improve its viewership ratings with exciting new programming.
The three mice working as creative consultants for the studio each must come up with a story idea to pitch to their new chief, the Cat. And they need to pitch their ideas fast - before they become a "fancy feast!" They retell the well-known tales of Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Pigs, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but now with new, unexpected twists.

Beauty and the Beast! (4yr - 7yr Olds)
The enchantment never ends in this beloved "tale as old as time!"

This 1-week session for 4-7 year olds incorporates Musical Theatre, Acting, & Dance. Friendships are created with Acting Games & working together on simple "pictures of the day". The week culminates with a Dance and Musical Theatre performance for Family & Friends!
"Be Our Guest", "Something There", & "Tale as Old as Time" will come to life with a performance on our last day!

101 DALMATIONS (1st - 5th GRADERS)
In this Musical Theatre week, we celebrate the beloved characters & music of Disney’s “101 Dalmatians” with an imaginative adaptation of this timeless story. Performers sing, act, & dance in this timeless adaptation of the popular musical. With theatre games & team building exercises, coupled with performance rehearsal, performers develop a true love of performing in a supportive & rewarding atmosphere!

Performances take place in our newly renovated outdoor amphitheatre! Light-hearted auditions to determine roles take place on the first day. Everyone will be cast!

Your role is your role, and you get 100% of rehearsal and performance time, rather than observing while counter-parts rehearse and perform.

You are cast in a role that will showcase your talents and abilities the whole time! You are not compared to the alternate cast member.

Your talents and capabilities are utilized! (IE: If you can dance, boy, will you dance!) With PA5678, you are not limited to the alternate cast member's skillset.

Time is not spent re-teaching two casts (equaling less rehearsal). This frees up everyone's time during Summer months.

Seasoned Directors, Choreographers & Musical Directors.

Each program is led by adult Directors/Choreographers/Musical Directors with years of both professional performance and teaching experience. Student directors are not in charge. ​

We are parents. Not only are our leaders experienced professionals, but we are also parents, and understand the balance of fun and hard work. We understand what students are capable of at various ages, and present attainable material, allowing each age group to not only have fun, but also be challenged. As instructors, we teach so that everyone who comes across our path can reach their full potential. As parents, we nurture, protect, and want the best for each performer.
